The committee told the Council that the evening courts in the 29 sessions divisions would be shifted to morning from 8 am to 10 am from July to March and from 12 noon to 2 pm from April to June when the civil courts held in morning hours. A formal decision in this regard would be taken by the standing committee of judges of the Patna High court in two weeks, according to a State Bar Council release.
After the assurance, the State Bar Council meeting presided over by its chairman, Baleshwar Prasad Sharma, decided to call off the lawyers stir. A meeting of the coordination committee of the 3 associations of lawyers of Patna High Court, chaired by its president Yogesh Chandra Verma, also appealed to the high court lawyers to resume court work in larger public interest.
