The State Govt has decided to promote poultry and horticulture in Naxalite-hit Munger said M. L. Chaudhary, the vice chancellor of Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa, and Bihar Agriculture University, Sabaur.

The state government has given the go ahead to promote poultry and horticulture under the National Horti culture Mission in Naxalite-hit districts like Munger and Jamui. To make this program a success, we have given two goats and 30 hens each to more than 25 farmers.
Rajendra Agriculture University and Bihar Agriculture University, will help the farmers avail of the latest technology. We have also spoken to the superintendent of police of Munger and Jamui to get administrative support. They have welcomed the move. In the third week of Feb all the farmers will be invited to Patna to discuss the issue in a broader perspective said Chaudhary. Nice and humanistic measures adapted by the state govt. to help the poorest in the remotest areas of the Bihar Naxal-hit.
