State Congress President Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Qaiser has demanded a ban on the book, “ Adhunik Bharat Mein Samajik Parivartan”, written by the state director of higher education, JP Singh, wherein the author has allegedly termed the founder of Aligarh Muslim University, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, as communal and separatist. He has demanded that chief minister Nitish Kumar should immediately remove Singh from the post of the director. Qaiser said that Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was not only a strong votary of Hindu-Muslim unity, but also an eminent freedom fighter and educationist. The NCP Tariq Anwar also demanded the ban on book and immediate removal of JP SINGH from the post.
The author mindset is clear from his acts that he knows nothing about the Tallest and great secular personality of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. The director has not only insulted Sir Syed Ahmad Khan great secular and educationist of his times but insulted whole secular fabric of our nation,he does not deserve to be director of higher education and must be removed with immediate effects.
