Rajya Sabha member and former deputy chairman of state planning board [Bihar] N K Singh has said Bihar must use the opportunity and go for sunrise industries using the latest technology. The need of using latest technology in the state’s power sector is a case in point, he said.
Singh said this while speaking on “Catalysing Invest in Bihar” at an interactive meet with the members of Bihar Industries Association [BIA] here on MONDAY.
While stressing on having a state competitive index on the pattern of global competitive Index which is on agenda at the Davos meet. Singh pleaded for maintaining transparency in the Industrial process, in the functioning of single-window system for industrial development and infrastructure development.
Stressing on building effective synergy between vocational-based skill development and education, Singh said Bihar should set up a Skill Development Commission for creating skilled labor to meet their demand in the developing economy. He also stressed on public-private partnership [PPP] in power and social sector including education and in infrastructure development. N K Singh said India has marginally improved in doing business in a quality environment and there had been improved perception of Bihar’s image and its perception among outsiders.
