The internal bickering in the Janta Dal[U] took a new turn on Saturday when the central leadership of the party accepted the resignation of its sulking national general secretary, Sri Upendra Kushwaha.
Party chief Mr Sharad Yadav and national general secretary K C Tyagi said here at the NDA office that Kushwaha resignation has been accepted. Last year,after the Rajgir party camp, Kushwaha had announced his resignation from the party post.
Indiscipline won’t be tolerated and action will be taken against the guilty, whosoever they may be said state JD-U president Mr Vashist Narayan Singh at the NDA office, where MAKAR SANKRANTI was celebrated and partymen were served curd, chura [flattened rice] and Tilkuta Bihari sweet.
Kushwaha has planned to sit on DHARNA to protest the statements issued against him by some JD-U office bearers.
Reacting to Kushwaha’s plan of staging a dharna urging Nitish Kumar to get his properties inquired into state party chief Singh said Kushwaha was enacting a drama and trying to whip up caste feelings. It seems start of erosion in the JD-U caders.
