The Bihar Chamber of Commerce [BCC] has welcomed the announcements made by chief minister Nitish Kumar for greater facilitation of trade and industries in the state. New Chamber president OP SAH, referring to the address of the CM at the 83rd annual function of the BCC, said that the CM’s announcements have created a lot of enthusiasm and great confidence among the traders and entrepreneurs of Bihar who are looking forward for a complete transformation of the state as a model state.
Terming the CM’s announcement that “Any harassment to entrepreneurs would be treated as a direct threat to the chief minister and the government and the government would accept it as a challenge” as unmatched and pragmatic, he said it would work as a turning point for the future economic growth and industrialization of Bihar. Such determination of the chief minister would definitely deter such elements who are detrimental to the economic growth of Bihar. On behalf of the entire trade and industry fraternity, he expressed gratitude to the CM for his historic announcement. Sah said the CM’s assurance to provide level-playing field to trade and industry by removing deficiencies and bottlenecks is appreciable. He thanked the chief minister for announcing several measures for industrial and economic growth of Bihar such as to make available adequate and quality power at the earliest, to bring the updated version of industrial incentive policy by March 31, 2011, to hold Udyami Panchayat in January, 2011 etc and said that the BCC would leave no stone unturned to achieve its goals to augment rapid industrial and economic growth in Bihar but power sector and law & order would put great hurdle in the road map of developments.
